This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

An upper level ridge of high pressure in place across the region will
maintain abnormally hot and humid conditions today, allowing
temperatures to climb into the mid and upper 90s. When combined with
the humidity, heat indices will range between 100 to 105 degrees. If
outside, drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks in the shade or
in air conditioned facilities, and limit outdoor exposure during the
hottest time of the day.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Above normal temperatures in the lower to mid 90s will continue
areawide again Sunday, with heat indices nearing 100 degrees.
However, a weak cool front will move into the region late Sunday
night and Monday, and will focus the potential for isolated to
scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly over Northeast Texas,
Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas. The front is expected to
drift through East Texas into North Louisiana by Monday night, and
focus the potential for isolated showers and a few thunderstorms over
these areas through Tuesday. Cooler conditions will return to the
area especially by mid and late next week, with the potential for
unsettled weather ahead of another approaching upper level
disturbance from the northwest.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected through tonight.
