An Excessive Heat Warning is now in effect tonight and through this evening as heat index values will reach 110 degrees or higher today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Dangerously hot conditions are expected once again for portions of the area on Friday with heat products likely. A change in the weather pattern will bring more unsettled conditions to the region starting on Friday and continuing into next week along with some relief from the extreme heat. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. && $$
