...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Maine, including the following
  counties, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln and Waldo.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 809 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    China, Palermo, Jefferson, Somerville, Windsor, Hibberts
    Gore, Whitefield and Washington.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

southwest Maine, west central Maine, western Maine and northern New
Hampshire.

Slow moving showers and possible thunderstorms will bring an
increased risk of localized flooding due to heavy downpours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
