   Excessive Heat Warning.

Strong thunderstorms containing gusty winds, heavy rain, small hail
and excessive cloud to ground lightning are possible this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 107
  expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Hancock, Central Washington, Interior Hancock, and
  Southern Penobscot Counties.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
