Heavy rainfall is expected across parts of northern Michigan Saturday into Saturday night. Some areas of the lower peninsula may see over 2 inches of rain by Sunday morning. MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan, including the
following counties, Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix,
Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau,
Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego and Presque Isle.
* WHEN...From 2 AM EDT Saturday through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Repeated rounds of heavy rainfall are expected later tonight,
through the day on Saturday, and into the overnight hours
Saturday night. Widespread 2 to 4 inch rain amounts are
likely with isolated higher amounts possible.
