This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are possible into tonight.  A marginal risk
for severe thunderstorms exists near and east of US-127 today.  Wind
is the main threat along with torrential rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Strong to severe storms accompanied by torrential rainfall are
possible Saturday and Saturday night. Another round of
thunderstorms are possible Tuesday.

* WHERE...Calhoun, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Allegan, Barry,
  Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
