This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories are in effect. Please
refer to the latest urgent weather message for details.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible today, at any time. The
strongest storms will be capable of producing hail to a half inch and
wind gusts up to 60 MPH. Storms will be to the east at 30 MPH. Any
storm will be capable of producing torrential rainfall. Localized
flooding is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heat advisories and warnings will remain in effect through Friday.

Opportunities exist for periods of thunderstorms Tuesday into the
weekend. Confidence on coverage and timing remain very low.

SOUTHWESTERN MACOMB AND NORTHEASTERN WASHTENAW COUNTIES THROUGH
MIDNIGHT EDT...

At 1104 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Dixboro to near Livonia to Greenfield Village.
Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Warren, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Southfield, Taylor, St. Clair Shores,
Novi, Romulus, Ypsilanti, Grosse Pointe, Downtown Detroit, Canton,
Detroit, Dearborn, Royal Oak, Wyandotte, South Lyon, Northville,
Salem, and Dixboro.

This includes the following highways...
 I-75 between mile markers 39 and 64.
 I-275 between mile markers 18 and 29.
 I-94 between mile markers 174 and 185, and between mile markers 195
and 231.
 I-96 between mile markers 157 and 192.
 I-696 between mile markers 1 and 28.
 M-10 between mile markers 1 and 18.
 M-14 between mile markers 3 and 21.
 US-23 between mile markers 36 and 52.

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY FOR MONDAY JUNE 17...

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for Monday June 17, for elevated levels of
ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups range.

The alert is in effect for the following Michigan Counties,

Wayne, Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, Livingston, St. Clair, and
Monroe.

It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor
activities, especially those with respiratory diseases such as
asthma.

People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which lead to
ozone formation. These activities include, refueling vehicles or
topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment,
and using charcoal lighter fluid.

Positive activities include, driving less, telecommuting, walking or
biking, delaying or combining errands and using water-based paints.
