This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southwest Lower
Michigan.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are possible in west-central Lower Michigan
this afternoon. Additional thunderstorms are possible in much of
Southwest Lower Michigan tonight. The thunderstorms tonight may
produce strong to severe wind gusts, hail, and locally heavy rain
amounts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Excessive heat and isolated thunderstorms will be possible through
much of the week.

FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to
  100 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and
  west central Michigan.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly
  increase the potential for heat related illnesses,
  particularly for those working or participating in outdoor
  activities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-
conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives
and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
