This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories are in effect. Please
refer to the latest urgent weather message for details.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible today, at any time. The
strongest storms will be capable of producing hail to a half inch and
wind gusts up to 60 MPH. Storms will be to the east at 30 MPH. Any
storm will be capable of producing torrential rainfall. Localized
flooding is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heat advisories and warnings will remain in effect through Friday.

Opportunities exist for periods of thunderstorms Tuesday into the
weekend. Confidence on coverage and timing remain very low.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WAYNE AND SOUTHEASTERN WASHTENAW
COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM EDT...

At 902 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from Britton to near Ida to near Carleton. Movement
was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Flat Rock around 905 PM EDT.
  Milan and Trenton around 915 PM EDT.
  Grosse Ile around 925 PM EDT.
  Wyandotte around 935 PM EDT.
  Willis around 940 PM EDT.
  Taylor around 945 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Melvindale,
Whittaker, Gibraltar, New Boston, Rockwood, Harper Woods, Westland,
Grosse Pointe Shores, Ecorse, and Grosse Pointe Woods.

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY FOR MONDAY JUNE 17...

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for Monday June 17, for elevated levels of
ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups range.

The alert is in effect for the following Michigan Counties,

Wayne, Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, Livingston, St. Clair, and
Monroe.

It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor
activities, especially those with respiratory diseases such as
asthma.

People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which lead to
ozone formation. These activities include, refueling vehicles or
topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered lawn equipment,
and using charcoal lighter fluid.

Positive activities include, driving less, telecommuting, walking or
biking, delaying or combining errands and using water-based paints.
