...Air Quality Advisory in effect for Thursday June 20th...

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has
declared Thursday June 20th to be an action day for elevated levels
of ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups range.

The action day is in effect for the following Michigan counties...

St. Clair...Livingston...Oakland...Macomb...Washtenaw...Wayne and
Monroe.

It is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor
activities, especially those with respiratory diseases such as
asthma. People and businesses are urged to avoid activities which
can lead to ozone formation. These activities include: refueling
vehicles or topping off when refueling, using gasoline powered
lawn equipment, using charcoal lighter fluid.

Positive activities include: driving less, telecommuting, walking
or bike riding, delaying or combining errands, using water-based
paints.

This hazardous weather outlook is for southeast Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible today and again this
evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing wind
gusts up to 50 knots. Storms will move toward the northeast at
around 20 knots. Any storm will be capable of producing torrential
rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday. The strongest storms will be capable of producing wind
gusts up to 50 knots. Any storm will be capable of producing torrential
rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.

* WHAT...Heat index values peak in the mid to upper 90s.

* WHERE...Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw,
  and Wayne Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Impacts of heat stress continue to increase
  with each consecutive abnormally hot day.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
