There still remains a small chance a few strong to severe thunderstorms overnight over the I-35 corridor and northwest Wisconsin. Large hail up to ping pong ball size is the primary threat. There is a small risk of damaging wind gusts of 60 mph and a very small risk of a brief, weak tornado. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday There is a very small chance of a few strong storms over northwest Wisconsin before 11 AM Monday. The chance of strong to severe storms will increase once again Monday evening into early Tuesday morning over northern Minnesota. Large hail up to ping pong ball size will be the main threat initially. Storms may become capable of damaging wind gusts by early Tuesday morning. There is another chance of strong to severe storms Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night over northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Large hail to half dollar coin size and damaging wind gusts to 70 mph will be the main threats. There is a very small risk of a few weak, brief tornadoes. Several rounds of heavy rain are expected Monday through Wednesday morning and flash flooding is possible, especially from the Brainerd Lakes to the Iron Range and southeast. This includes the Tribal Lands of the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion area, the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Hinckley, Lena Lake and, Big Sandy Lake areas. * WHEN...From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rain Monday through Tuesday, with localized areas receiving over 3 inches of rain. This will fall on top of already saturated soils and rivers with normal to above normal streamflow.
