This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Heat index values above 100 degrees expected across southwest
Minnesota this afternoon.

There is an Enhanced Risk (3/5) for severe weather this evening.
Damaging winds are the primary threat, though all hazards are
possible.

A Flash Flood Watch has also been issued for portions of
eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin as the risk for training
thunderstorms has increased.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Another period of active weather is expected Thursday afternoon
through Friday night. Severe weather and localized flash flooding
will be possible once again.

River levels will continue rising through late next week with
some locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional
rain could worsen the flooding.

SKYWARN spotter activation may be likely needed for strong storms
this and evening.

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Yellow Medicine
  and Lac qui Parle Counties.

  Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Blue Earth and Nicollet
  Counties.

  South Fork Crow River at Delano affecting Wright and Hennepin
  Counties.

  Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Middle Fork Zumbro River at Pine Island 1S affecting Dodge and
  Goodhue Counties.

.Widespread river flooding continues on the heels of multiple rounds
of rainfall over the past few weeks, with some areas receiving
double or even triple the normal amount of rainfall for the entire
month of June over the past 10 days. Cresting is occurring at many
smaller rivers with cresting on the mainstem Minnesota and
Mississippi arriving later this week as water works its way
downstream.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1000 AM CDT Monday, the stage was 14.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1000 AM CDT Monday was 14.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5
    feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.6 feet on 07/26/1962.
