This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

River levels will continue rising through late week with some
locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional rain
could worsen the flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Another period of active weather is expected Thursday afternoon
through Friday night. Severe weather and localized flash flooding
will be possible once again.

.Significant rainfall over the last several days has caused large
rises in area rivers. Upstream gages will either level off or start
decreasing over the next few days of dry weather. Meanwhile,
downstream gages will trend upwards as incoming flow increases.
However, chances for rainfall return towards the end of this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  forecast.

* WHERE...Crow River at Rockford.

* WHEN...Until Monday, July 01.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Sanitary sewers serving homes closest to
  river may begin to back up.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 13.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 900 PM CDT Monday was 13.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Sunday evening and continue falling to 9.5 feet Monday, July
    01.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.2 feet on 07/08/1993.

  bound lane of Highway 101 near the intersection with Highway 13.
  Flood waters also impact the north bound lanes of Interstate 35W.
  Port Cargill builds additional protection.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 400 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 708.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 400 PM CDT Monday was 708.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 715.1
    feet Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 702.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    715.2 feet on 04/13/1997.

  stage to prevent water from backing up into homes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 330 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 19.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 330 PM CDT Monday was 19.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.4
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Sunday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    19.3 feet on 04/08/1997.
