There is a moderate risk (level 3 of 4) of excessive rainfall and flash flooding through tonight across southern Minnesota into western Wisconsin. After early morning rainfall, additional bouts of thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected this afternoon through tonight in many of the same areas that saw rain in the morning. There is Slight Risk of severe storms (level 2 of 5) across southern Minnesota and southern portions of west central Wisconsin. A warm front is expected to setup a little north of the I-90 corridor, with numerous thunderstorms developing along and north of it this afternoon through tonight. The primary hazards are damaging wind gusts and the potential for a couple of tornadoes. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Thunderstorms with heavy rain will be possible through Saturday morning. River levels will continue rising through late next week with some locations reaching moderate or major flood stage.
