This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms will return this afternoon and overnight. A few
storms may become severe with isolated large hail and damaging
winds. Flash flooding is possible as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected through much of
the week. Severe weather, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding are
possible with each of these rounds.

The risk for flooding along area rivers will increase through the
week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation may be needed this evening through
Tuesday night.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Savage affecting Carver, Hennepin, Dakota and
  Scott Counties.

.Rounds of showers and thunderstorms have produced 1-3" of rain over
the area, leading to rising river levels. Additional chances for
heavy rain are expected throughout this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday afternoon and continue rising to 707.9 feet
    Monday, June 24. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 702.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    708.1 feet on 05/06/1986.

* IMPACTS...At 29.5 feet, Highway 41 at Chaska may close when the
  river reaches this stage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 745 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 23.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 29.6
    feet Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    29.4 feet on 05/19/2023.

  South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County.

.Rounds of showers and thunderstorms have produced 1-3" of rain over
the area, leading to rising river levels. Additional chances for
heavy rain are expected throughout this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Road to the Watertown Waste Water
  Treatment plant is flooded. Yale Avenue flooded between County
  Road 30 and 78th Street; and 62nd Street west of County Road 33 to
  Yancy Avenue is closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 830 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 830 PM CDT Monday was 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5
    feet early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.5 feet on 04/14/2001.

  Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, McLeod, Meeker, Ramsey, Renville,
  Scott, Sibley, Washington and Wright and west central Wisconsin,
  including the following area, St. Croix.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms could lead to heavy rainfall
    totals and flash flooding.
