This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Localized areas of flooding are still ongoing due to rainfall
over the last few days. Do not drive through flooded roadways.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather Monday, as the next storm
system to watch may produce strong to severe thunderstorms Monday
night into Tuesday.

River levels will continue rising through late next week with
some locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional
rain could worsen the flooding.

  Washington and Pierce Counties.

.Heavy, widespread rainfall over the last several days has already
caused substantial rises in area rivers. Additional rainfall this
afternoon through Sunday across much of southern Minnesota will
support additional rises in area rivers. The axis of the heaviest
rainfall over the past 72 hours fell across SW Minnesota and N Iowa.
This has resulted in a slight lower trend with upcoming crests.
Moderate to major flooding is still forecast for many mainstem
forecast points.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 930 AM CDT Saturday, the stage was 900.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The forecast for Northfield gauge Cannon
    river has fallen slightly from previous forecasts. Please
    continue to monitor levels as any additional rain amounts
    higher than forecast today could result in further changes.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 901.0
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 897.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
