This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

River levels will continue rising along the Minnesota and
Mississippi Rivers through late week with moderate or major flood
stage observed during the crest. Additional rain starts tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Another period of active weather is expected Friday. Strong to severe
storms and localized flash flooding will be possible once again.

The next chance for heavy rain and strong storms will be Monday
into Tuesday.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County.

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Yellow
  Medicine and Chippewa Counties.

  Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Blue Earth and Nicollet
  Counties.

  Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County.

  Cannon River at Northfield affecting Rice and Dakota Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota
and Wisconsin...

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

  Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Brown, Blue Earth and
  Nicollet Counties.

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

  South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County.

  Minnesota River at Savage affecting Scott, Carver, Dakota and
  Hennepin Counties.

  Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Le Sueur, Sibley and
  Scott Counties.

  Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Carver, Sibley and Scott

  South Fork Crow River at Delano affecting Wright and Hennepin

.Due to dry weather over the last few days, river levels in western
MN have trended downward. Meanwhile, downstream river gage levels
have increase or will continue to increase due the arrival of
additional flow. Rain chances are likely over the next several days,
but widespread, significant rainfall does not appear likely at this
time. Rivers area-wide should decrease as a result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

  - At 930 AM CDT Thursday, the stage was 741.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 930 AM CDT Thursday was 741.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 741.7
    feet this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 732.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    740.1 feet on 09/28/2010.
