River levels will continue rising along the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers through late week with moderate or major flood stage observed during the crest. Additional rain starts tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Another period of active weather is expected Friday. Strong to severe storms and localized flash flooding will be possible once again. The next chance for heavy rain and strong storms will be Monday into Tuesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Blue Earth and Nicollet
Counties.
Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County.
Cannon River at Northfield affecting Rice and Dakota Counties.

.Due to dry weather over the last few days, river levels in western
MN have trended downward. Meanwhile, downstream river gage levels
have increase or will continue to increase due the arrival of
additional flow. Rain chances are likely over the next several days,
but widespread, significant rainfall does not appear likely at this
time. Rivers area-wide should decrease as a result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
