This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible with thunderstorms across
western Minnesota early this morning.

A slight chance of strong to severe thunderstorms exists across
southern Minnesota this afternoon.

River levels will continue rising along the Minnesota and
Mississippi Rivers into the weekend with moderate or major flood
stage observed during the crest. Additional rain has started to
fall will continue to fall overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Another round of heavy rain and strong storms is expected Monday,
which could locally exacerbate ongoing flooding next week.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...Wisconsin...Iowa...

  Mississippi River at Lake City affecting Wabasha, Pepin and
  Goodhue Counties.

  Mississippi River at Guttenberg Dam 10 affecting Grant and
  Clayton Counties.

  Mississippi River at La Crosse affecting La Crosse, Houston and
  Vernon Counties.

  Mississippi River at McGregor affecting Grant, Crawford,
  Allamakee and Clayton Counties.

  Mississippi River at Winona affecting Buffalo, Trempealeau and
  Winona Counties.

  Mississippi River at Wabasha affecting Buffalo and Wabasha
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Lake City.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Structures on the lower end of Deer Island
  in Pepin area begin to flood. West Lake Road and Deer Island Road
  are partially under water, limiting access to homes and properties.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Friday was 16.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.4
    feet early Tuesday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    17.4 feet on 04/06/1967.
