An isolated severe storm will be possible over mainly northwest Iowa this afternoon. The main threats will be quarter sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday An active pattern early next week could lead to additional heavy rain and/or severe weather threat; however, confidence is very low at this time. * WHERE...West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 1428.0 feet, County Road 6 and County Road 44 begin
to flood, and there is widespread significant flooding of crop and
pasture land.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 1428.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Thursday was 1428.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 1426.1 feet
