This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northwest Iowa,
west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, and
southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong southwest winds will develop this morning with occasional
gusts to 45 mph.

Scattered thunderstorms will develop along a southeast moving cold
front by middle to late afternoon. A few strong to perhaps severe
storms may be possible, with risks for ping pong ball size hail
and brief wind gusts to 60 mph. Locally heavy rainfall may also be
possible along and southeast of an line from Sioux City to
Spencer. This rainfall may lead to additional rises on area
rivers, including the Little Sioux River.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Additional rainfall is likely Wednesday night into Thursday, and
again on Friday afternoon and evening. While the severe weather
risk remains low, locally heavy rainfall may lead to renewed rises
in area streams and creeks.
