This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, east central South
Dakota and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Flooding surrounding area creeks and rivers will continue.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Flooding continues on many area rivers through the end of the week.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms return Thursday and
Friday. A marginal risk for severe storms will be focused west of the
James River valley late Thursday.

Further east, while severe weather is not expected, rainfall totals
may range from a tenth of an inch to a half inch by Friday morning.
This rainfall is not expected to worsen already ongoing flooding.

Minnesota...

  Redwood River at Russell affecting Lyon County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Jackson affecting Jackson County.

  West Fork Des Moines River near Windom affecting Jackson and
  Cottonwood Counties.

  West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Murray and
  Cottonwood Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Wednesday was 24.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 21.1 feet
    Wednesday, July 03.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday was 1429.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 1429.0
    feet this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 1425.0 feet.
