Showers and storms move into the area late tonight, with the main threats being heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Recent heavy rain will continue to result in water level rises along local rivers, with flooding continuing along the Crow and Minnesota Rivers. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected Friday through Saturday. A few severe storms, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding are possible with each of these rounds. River levels will continue rising through late week with some locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional rain could worsen the flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 26.6 feet, Flood waters begin to impact Highway 169
in North Mankato.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1030 AM CDT Thursday, the stage was 19.8 feet.
- The river is continuing to rise.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Saturday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 28.0
feet early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
28.3 feet on 09/27/2010.
