This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening. A few
storms may become severe with potential damaging winds and a
tornado or two. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected Thursday night
through Saturday. A few severe storms, heavy rainfall, and flash
flooding are possible with each of these rounds.

River levels will continue rising through late week with some
locations reaching moderate or major flood stage. Additional rain
later in the week could worsen the flooding.

SKYWARN spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and
evening.

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

  Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.

  Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Nicollet, Brown and Blue
  Earth Counties.

  Minnesota River at Savage affecting Dakota, Hennepin, Carver and
  Scott Counties.

  Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Nicollet and Blue Earth
  Counties.

  South Fork Crow River at Delano affecting Hennepin and Wright
  Counties.

  Crow River at Rockford affecting Hennepin and Wright Counties.

  Cannon River at Northfield affecting Dakota and Rice Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Le Sueur, Sibley and
  Scott Counties.

  Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Sibley, Carver and Scott
  Counties.

  South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County.

.Recent heavy rainfall combined with the forecast of additional rain
and high soil moisture will produce additional rises on area rivers.
Rain and storms continue tonight, with another round of widespread
heavy rain possible later this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Mankato.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, HWY 99 east of St Peter closed (estimated
  level for spring floods)

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 830 PM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 18.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Thursday morning to a crest of 23.3 feet early Friday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    23.3 feet on 06/27/2018.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 800.9 feet early
    Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 800.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    801.4 feet on 04/26/2018.
