southwest Wisconsin and west central Wisconsin.

A flood watch for flash flooding and river flooding is in effect
for today and tonight due to forecast heavy rain. Please
reference this product for more information.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A flood watch for flash flooding and river flooding remains in
effect through Saturday afternoon due to forecast heavy rain.
Please reference this product for more information.

Severe storms possible Saturday afternoon that could bring
damaging winds, hail and possibly a tornado.

There may be another round of severe storms Monday night into
Tuesday, but it is too early to determine any further details.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Not expected at this time, but rainfall and any severe weather
reports today and Saturday would be appreciated.

...The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin...Minnesota...

  Mississippi River at Winona affecting Trempealeau, Winona and
  Buffalo Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Winona.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Lock and Dam 5A goes out of operation.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Sunday morning and continue rising to 16.2 feet Friday, June
    28. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.2 feet on 04/27/1916.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flash flooding as well as river and stream flooding caused
  by excessive rainfall is becoming increasingly likely.

* WHERE...Portions of Iowa, including the following counties,
  Allamakee, Chickasaw, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek,
  southeast Minnesota, including the following counties, Dodge,
  Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona, and
  Wisconsin, including the following counties, Buffalo, Crawford,
  Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau and Vernon.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Multiple rounds of rainfall are expected today and Saturday.
    With many soils saturated and streams already running high
    due to abundant rain over the past several weeks, this
    additional rain may result in rapid rises in creeks and
    streams with urban flooding also possible.
