This hazardous weather outlook is for northwest...north central and
west central Missouri...as well as extreme eastern Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat Advisory for most of western Missouri and eastern Kansas. Heat
index values will push near 110 degrees this afternoon with maximum
temperatures nearing 100. No relief from the heat is expected Monday
night into Tuesday as morning lows struggle to get below 80

Marginal Risk of severe thunderstorms tonight across northern
Missouri. Damaging winds will be the primary concern.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Heat Advisory continues through 8 PM Tuesday night. Afternoon heat
index values will reach near 105 degrees.

Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms Tuesday night across northern
Missouri. Expect scattered storms along a cold front to develop with
a risk of damaging wind and hail.

  Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Doniphan, Buchanan and
  Andrew Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT TO THURSDAY,
JULY 04...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Missouri River at St Joseph.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Thursday, July 04.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding upstream and downstream
  from St. Joseph occurs.
  At 19.0 feet, Backwater from the Missouri River floods property
  along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.
  At 21.0 feet, Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood.
  At 24.0 feet, A residential area in northwest St. Joseph begins to
  flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:35 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Wednesday morning to a crest of 23.7 feet Sunday, June
    30. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday, July 03.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
