central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Thunderstorms will move off to the southeast this morning. Early
morning storms are capable of damaging winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is a chance for thunderstorms across portions of the area
Friday and Saturday.

Warning for the following river in Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Lock & Dam 21.

  Mississippi River at Quincy.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Unprotected bottomlands flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Monday afternoon and continue rising to 18.5 feet Tuesday
    morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
