There is another chance for thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening, mainly across southeast Missouri. Some of these may be severe, capable of damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal.
* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, The northern end of Southside Recreation
#2 Park along Bear Creek begins flooding at this height. Gate
wells are shut down to prevent the sewers from backing up. Also
at this level pumps are set to standby.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Friday was 18.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Wednesday morning and continue falling to 16.7 feet
Thursday evening.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
