Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Limited excessive heat risk. DISCUSSION... Some isolated thunderstorms will be possible, mainly over southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas to the southwest of a cold front. Cloud to ground lightning and very localized heavy rain will be the main risks. Heat index values in these areas will be in the upper 90s to around 103 this afternoon and early evening, with mid to upper 90s possible elsewhere. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. A few thunderstorms will be possible Saturday (15-30%). Some sub- severe hazards are possible, including wind gusts up to 40 mph and small hail, but lightning will be the main hazard. Heat index values through Wednesday will be in the low 90s to near 102. 15-30% chances for showers and thunderstorms exist daily Monday through Thursday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
