Today will be dangerously hot, with heat index values peaking around at 100. In addition, overnight lows will fall only in the mid to upper 70s. These hot conditions will increase the risk of heat- related illnesses. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Sunday will be dangerously hot, with heat index values peaking around 102. In addition, there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) of severe storms Sunday afternoon and evening. Damaging straight line winds will be the primary threat. Isolated flash flooding will also be possible with any slow moving storms. Another round of dangerously hot weather is expected on Thursday, July 4th, and on Friday.
