PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments. These hot conditions will increase the risk of heat- related illnesses. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Sunday will be dangerously hot, with heat index values peaking around at 100. In addition, there is a marginal risk, level 1 out of 5, of severe storms Sunday and Sunday night. Damaging straight line winds will be the primary threat, mainly Sunday afternoon and evening. Another round of dangerously hot weather is expected on Thursday, July 4th, and on Friday.
