This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a marginal risk, level 1 out of 5, for a few strong to
severe storms today across far southeast portions of central North
Carolina, mainly southeast of a line from Fayetteville to Goldsboro.
Damaging wind gusts over 60 mph will be the primary threat, and hail
is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Periods of dangerously hot weather will continue into next weekend,
as temperatures will remain well above normal for this time of year.
Shade air temperatures will rise well into the 90s each day, while
heat index values peak as high as the upper 90s to near 105. The most
dangerous heat will occur on Wednesday and Saturday. These unusually
hot conditions for this time of year will increase the risk of heat
related illnesses, especially for those without access to air
conditioning. Avoid outdoor activities during the warmest parts of
the day.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
