Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

   Heat Advisory.

In addition, scattered thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening
may become strong to locally severe, with a primary risk of damaging
wind gusts.

Dangerously hot weather will continue Friday through Sunday, with
temperatures rising well into the 90s each afternoon, with upper 90s
expected on Sunday. Heat index values will peak over 100 degrees each
day with the hottest values this weekend. These hot conditions will
increase the risk of heat- related illnesses.

* WHERE...Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Sampson, Scotland,
  Wake, and Wayne Counties.

* WHEN...From 11 AM to 5 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned locations, stay
out of the sun, and check on relatives, neighbors and pets.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or
heat stroke.
