THURSDAY EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

   Beach Hazards Statement.

Increasing swell will produce an enhanced risk for rip currents late
week.

There will be an elevated risk for heat related impacts Sunday
through Monday, due to the combination of heat and humidity producing
heat index values above 100 degrees. Anyone spending time outdoors
should take precaution to mitigate heat related illnesses.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING
THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...All Eastern North Carolina beaches.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most likely time for strong rip
  currents to occur is a couple hours either side of low tide,
  which will occur around 12:30 PM Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Life-threatening rip currents. If caught in a rip current, remain
calm. Swim in a direction following the shoreline. If tired,
float or tread water until out of the rip current. If unable to
escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
