Below Gavins Point Dam, rivers levels will rise above flood stage during the upcoming week, with moderate flood stage levels predicted from Blair to Rulo. Additional flooding is occuring along Ponca Creek just south of the South Dakota border. There is a 5% chance or less for severe thunderstorms to develop over southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa this evening. If storms develop, they may produce isolated large hail or damaging wind. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday night through Saturday Hot, humid conditions will develop early next week with heat indices approaching 100 to 110 on Monday and Tuesday. Additional strong to severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through Saturday, with additional heavy rainfall also possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... In northeast Nebraska, Platte. * WHEN...Until 1145 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1150 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area.
