Minor flooding continues along the Clear Creek in northern Polk County as a result of heavy rain Friday night. A Heat Advisory continues until 8pm this evening, with heat index values up to 110 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms move into the area from the west this evening. The primary concern is isolated wind gusts to 60 MPH, but a few of the strongest storms could also produce hail up to the size of quarters. The main timeframe for severe weather is 6pm to midnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Tuesday afternoon and evening across southeastern portions of the area with expected heat index values up to 105 degrees. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few of these could be severe with wind gusts up to 60 MPH, hail to the size of quarters, and possibly an isolated tornado.
