This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

A few isolated thunderstorms could impact parts of the area
through this evening, with the focus of most thunderstorm activity
expected to be primarily north of Interstate 80. If a stronger
storm develops, small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain would be
the main hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms remain in the forecast for at
least portions of the local area Friday and Saturday, then again
Monday night through Wednesday night. Widespread severe weather is
not anticipated at this time, although a few strong storms will be
possible Friday evening and night, mainly west of a line from
Greeley to Lexington.

Temperatures will climb back well above normal early next week.
While heat index values near 100 are possible this weekend, more
widespread heat index values over 100 degrees are currently in
the forecast for both Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
