This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Thunderstorms will develop across the Sandhills this afternoon and
overspread much of the area through the evening hours. Some storms
may be severe, with large hail and damaging winds being the main
threats. However, a tornado is also possible, mainly north of I-80.
In addition, storms will produce heavy rain, which may lead to flash
flooding for parts of north central Nebraska.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Temperatures may approach 100 degrees over southwestern Nebraska
early next week.

Please report hail, strong winds, flooding, and other severe weather
to NWS North Platte.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including the
  following counties, Boyd, Brown, Holt, Keya Paha and Rock.

* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
  may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Locations across portions of north central Nebraska received
    in excess of 5 inches of rain Thursday night. Recent heavy
    rain, combined with the potential for additional rainfall
    tonight, may lead to flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
