...FLOOD WATCH HAS EXPIRED...

The Flash Flood Watch has expired for portions of north central,
northeast, and west central New Mexico, including the following
areas, in north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo
Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New
Mexico, Northeast Highlands. In west central New Mexico, West
Central Highlands, West Central Mountains and West Central Plateau.

A new Flood Watch for flash flooding over portions of west-central
NM and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near the Hermit`s Peak Calf
Canyon burn scar is in effect this afternoon and early evening.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and west central New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in north central New
  Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre
  de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands.
  In west central New Mexico, West Central Highlands, West Central
  Mountains and West Central Plateau.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop
    this afternoon and evening, and storm motion will be slow and
    erratic.  Stronger storms will produce torrential rainfall at
    rates over one inch per half hour. Rapid runoff will quickly
    produce flash flooding, especially below recent burn scars
    and in locations where the ground is already saturated from
    recent heavy rainfall.
