...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central New Mexico, including
  the following areas, in central New Mexico, South Central
  Mountains focusing on areas near the South Fork, Blue 2, Salt and
  McBride burn areas. In west central New Mexico, Southwest
  Mountains.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop this
    afternoon and evening, and storm motion will be slow and
    erratic.  Stronger storms will produce torrential rainfall at
    rates over one inch per half hour. Rapid runoff will quickly
    produce flash flooding, especially below recent burn scars
    and in locations where the ground is already saturated from
    recent heavy rainfall.
