* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central,
  northeast, northwest, and west central New Mexico, including the
  following areas, in central New Mexico, Central Highlands, Eastern
  Lincoln County, Estancia Valley and South Central Mountains. In
  east central New Mexico, Guadalupe County. In north central New
  Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Espanola Valley,
  Jemez Mountains, Northwest Highlands and Southern Sangre de Cristo
  Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands. In
  northwest New Mexico, Chuska Mountains. In west central New

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE BLUE 2, SOUTH FORK AND MCBRIDE BURN
SCAR REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR
SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY...

At 258 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated showers with light to
moderate rainfall continuing over the Blue 2, South Fork and McBride
Burn Scars. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact Upper Canyon, the
Rio Bonito, Eagle Creek, Cedar Creek and Rio Ruidoso drainages as
well as downstream along the Rio Hondo. Impacts will include but are
not limited to all nearby reservoirs, bridges, culverts and roadways
associated with these drainages, especially at those points where
streams merge.  Vulnerable properties in low lying areas are
especially at risk. Impacts could extend at least to Picacho, New
Mexico. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding and potential landslide.
         Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the
         Blue 2, South Fork and McBride Burn Scars.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
         the Blue 2, South Fork and McBride Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Ruidoso, Lincoln, Ruidoso Downs, Fort Stanton, Glencoe, Alto,
  Lincoln State Monument, San Patricio, Bonito Lake and Hondo.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 91 and 107.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches
in the Blue 2, South Fork and McBride Burn Scar. Severe debris flows
can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be
washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters, climb to
safety.

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
  county, central Lincoln.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 225 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Carrizozo.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Until 500 PM MDT.

* At 203 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mainly rural areas of South Central Lincoln County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and
drainages.
