...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico,
  Central Highlands, Estancia Valley, Sandia and Manzano Mountains
  including Edgewood and South Central Mountains. In north central
  New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern
  Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San
  Miguel County, Far Northeast Highlands, Harding County, Johnson
  and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass, Northeast Highlands and
  Union County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
  flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Torrential rainfall rates in excess of two inches per hour
    will create rapid runoff that can quickly produce flash
    flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR WESTERN TORRANCE COUNTY...

At 928 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mountainair, Willard, Manzano, Tajique and Torreon.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 201 and 220.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer
currents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many
miles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.
