This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,
western Massachusetts, eastern New York and southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of eastern New York and
most of adjacent western New England within a Marginal Risk for
severe thunderstorms through tonight. A few instances of damaging
wind gusts will be possible within some thunderstorms, especially
tonight.

Locally heavy rain will be possible later today into tonight within
thunderstorms. A few instances of flash flooding are possible in any
areas where repeated heavy downpours occur.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the mid Hudson Valley,
southern Taconics, and most of adjacent western New England within a
Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for Sunday, with a Marginal Risk
for severe thunderstorms across the remainder of eastern New York.
Isolated to scattered damaging thunderstorms wind gusts will be
possible. In addition, a tornado or two can not be ruled out within
the Slight Risk area.

Locally heavy rain will be possible Sunday within thunderstorms. A
few instances of flash flooding are possible in any areas where
repeated heavy downpours occur.

Heat indices may approach the mid 90s across the mid Hudson Valley
Sunday afternoon, and again on Thursday. If confidence increases that
heat indices reach or exceed 95 degrees, then a heat advisory would
be issued.
