...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Ohio, including
  the following counties, in north central Ohio, Lorain. In
  northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga, Lake and Summit.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 202 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cleveland, Painesville, Willowick, Fairport Harbor, Parma,
    Lakewood, Euclid, Mentor, Cleveland Heights, Strongsville,
    Westlake, North Royalton, North Ridgeville, Solon, Avon Lake,
    Willoughby, Twinsburg, Eastlake, Warrensville Heights and
    Macedonia.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 104 degrees are expected at
  times this week with variability each day due to clouds and
  scattered showers and storms.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio
  and northwest Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses. The prolonged nature of the heat may increase heat
  stress with time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR TUESDAY JUNE 18...

An Air Quality Advisory for ground level ozone has been issued by
the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for Ashtabula,
Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties.

The advisory is from midnight tonight to midnight Tuesday night.

Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups
during this period. If you are in the sensitive groups category
of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties,
please monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings
at airnow.gov. Additionally, sign-up at enviroflash.info for text
alerts regarding air quality.
