...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF NORTHERN FAIRFIELD
AND LICKING COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM EDT...

At 227 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Granville
South, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Heath, Granville, Pataskala, Hebron, Utica, Hanover,
Beechwood Trails, Granville South, Marne, New Albany, Jersey,
Kirkersville, Alexandria, St. Louisville, Fredonia, Toboso, Purity,
State Route 310 at State Route 161, and Fallsburg.

This includes I-70 in Ohio between mile markers 120 and 123.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 101 are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast
  and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and
  west central Ohio.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM Friday.

* IMPACTS...The combination of excessive heat due to temperatures in
  the 90s and high humidity will increase the threat of heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned rooms, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors, especially
those that may have underlying health conditions.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
