This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms will be possible across the Oklahoma Panhandle and
the northern Texas Panhandle. Lightning will be the main hazard.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

High temperatures or Heat Index values approaching or exceeding
105 degrees may occur across parts of the Oklahoma and Texas
Panhandles Tuesday through Friday. A Heat Advisory is in effect
for the far eastern sections of the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles
as well as for the Palo Duro Canyon State Park on Tuesday from 1
PM to 8 PM as high temperatures or heat index values of 105 up to
108 degrees are expected. Additional Heat Advisories may be needed
Wednesday through Friday.

Thunderstorms will be possible across at least parts of the Oklahoma
and Texas Panhandles Tuesday through Sunday. Some of the storms
may become severe with large hail and damaging winds the main
threats.

* WHAT...Hot temperatures or heat index values up to 107 expected.

* WHERE...In Oklahoma, Beaver County. In Texas, Collingsworth,
  Hemphill, Lipscomb, Palo Duro Canyon, and Wheeler Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM to 8 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
