The combination of heat and humidity will lead to heat index values of 105 to 115 degrees across most areas today. If you have plans for strenuous outdoor activities, or work outside, plan for frequent breaks and stay hydrated. .Thunderstorms... Thunderstorms will be possible across far northern Oklahoma this evening and overnight. Large hail and damaging winds are the main hazards with the strongest storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... .Heat... The combination of heat and humidity will lead to heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees or higher across most areas through Saturday. If you have plans for strenuous outdoor activities, or work outside, plan for frequent breaks and stay hydrated. .Thunderstorms... There are higher chances of thunderstorms during the upcoming weekend, especially across northern half of Oklahoma. The most intense thunderstorms could be strong to severe with a threat for damaging wind gusts and hail. Thunderstorms will also be possible across a similar area next Tuesday into Wednesday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. && $$
