This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...South of Interstate 40 and also north of Interstate 44.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
through the afternoon hours in areas south of Interstate 40, with
a second area favored north of Interstate 44. Severe weather is
not expected.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level high pressure will bring increasing heat and humidity
back to the region for the weekend and into early next week. The
combination of temperature and moisture will lead to widespread
triple digit heat index values and potential for heat stress
impacts. Heat headlines will likely be needed.

As the upper level high pressure shifts west of the region, low
shower and thunderstorm chances will exist, especially toward the
middle of next week.
