This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...North and West of Tulsa.
ONSET...Ongoing...ending by around sunset.

DISCUSSION...
There is a limited risk of thunderstorms, mainly along a weak
front to the north and west of Tulsa. Severe weather is not
expected. Gusty winds and brief heavy downpours will accompany a
storm if it develops.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY thru SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY and MONDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential.
TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level high pressure will build into the region for the
weekend and into early next week, leading to well above normal
temperatures. Widespread triple digit heat index values should be
expected beginning Saturday, with increasing moisture late in the
weekend making the need for heat headlines more likely beginning
Sunday.

Thunderstorm chances will return to the forecast on Tuesday, as
the ridge aloft may shift far enough west to allow for storm
activity to enter the region from the north and west.
