This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Rest of Today and Tonight.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue today with many locations
seeing afternoon heat index values around or above 105 degrees.
A heat advisory remains in effect until 9 PM tonight for
west central Arkansas, and most of eastern Oklahoma.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
MONDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
THURSDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential.
FRIDAY...High Wind Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Upper level high pressure will continue to bring increasing heat
and humidity to the region through much of the upcoming week,
thus leading to triple digit heat index values. Potential for heat
stress impacts will continue, and additional heat headlines will
likely be needed.

As the upper level high pressure shifts west of the region, low to
moderate shower and thunderstorm chances will return towards the
middle of next week. Upper level high pressure will quickly build
back over the region for the latter part of the week, with hot and
humid conditions persisting. Lower chances for thunderstorms may
brush parts of far northeast Oklahoma next weekend.
