This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Most of Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
this afternoon across parts of southeast Oklahoma and western
Arkansas and also in northeast Oklahoma to the northwest of
Interstate 44. Severe weather is not expected.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms may again develop across
parts of southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas Thursday
afternoon. Severe weather is unlikely.

Upper level high pressure will build into the region for the
weekend and into early next week, leading to well above normal
temperatures. Widespread triple digit heat index values should be
expected beginning Saturday, with increasing moisture late in the
weekend making the need for heat headlines more likely beginning
Sunday.

Low thunderstorm chances exist early next week as the upper level
high shifts west.
